Since April 2021, visitors have been able to stroll in the footsteps of the Brothers Grimm in Kassel on the free GRIMMWELT Audio Walk “7 in one go”.
As well as informative and entertaining stories about the places where the Grimms worked in Kassel and fascinating anecdotes from their family life, there are plenty of fairy-tale references on the circular tour from Friedrichsplatz to the GRIMMWELT.
Seven stations along the route illustrate the life of the Grimms in Kassel. The walk starts at Friedrichsplatz, where the Brothers Grimm worked from 1808 onwards, and continues via the house they lived in at No. 9, Schöne Aussicht and the GRIMMWELT roof—with its marvellous view over Kassel’s Südstadt district—and the fairy-tale suburb of Niederzwehren.
Complete the tour by listening to an audio play of the first story in the “Children’s and Household Tales”—‘The Frog Prince’—by the well outside the GRIMMWELT.
Have fun!
The Audio Walk is an ideal way to explore Kassel in the footsteps of the Brothers Grimm after visiting the GRIMMWELT.
