The GRIMMkids app enables children between the ages of 5 and 12 to explore the GRIMMWELT and in particular the exhibition area focusing on linguistics on their own.
The GRIMMIES - five GRIMMWELT identification figures - guide the children through the exhibition. Modern breadcrumbs in the form of stylized chocolate cookies show the way.
By scanning the cookies attached to the floor, the GRIMMIES appear and ask the quiz questions at the respective station.
Lupine and Tintus have funny little adventures in the exhibition - their quarrels and dialogues open up exciting and humorous perspectives on the work of the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm.
The GRIMMIES - the five identification figures of the GRIMM WORLD, which also include Buchhilde, the clever book, Feodor the quill and Sissie, the anxious scissors - appear to be right in the exhibition space and guide the children through the exhibition in an entertaining way.
Together they discover exhibits such as Jacob Grimm's scissors, the oversized inkwell, which contains the amount of ink the Brothers Grimm prescribed throughout their lives, as well as the hand-copies of the "Children's and Household Tales" and decipher what they are all about.
The GRIMMIES are on the loose
In the children's book "Nachts in der GRIMMWELT" (in German), the GRIMMIES experience further exciting adventures.
The booklet is available in the GRIMMWELT store (EUR 2.00).
